Frequently asked questions

Good to know before your winter party

When is the best time to book?
Most Christmas parties are in November and December, and Þorrablót feasts are in January and February. The most popular weekends are booked first, and since the number of beer taps is limited, it pays to book as soon as your date is set.
Who provides the drinks?
You provide the drinks, the ice and access to water. If you book a bartender, they go through the drinks menu with you beforehand and help you work out quantities.
We are having a big Þorrablót. Can you handle it?
For larger groups we add more bartenders, glasses and tables. Send us the number of guests and the venue and we will tell you exactly what we can provide and what it costs. Staff associations and other organisations can get an invoice to their ID number (kennitala) by sending a company request.
Do I need to wash the glasses?
No. Return them used and we take care of the washing-up. It is included in the price.
Can the patio heater be used under an awning or in a tent?
Yes. It runs on electricity (2000 W) and only needs a standard socket. It can handle spray and damp, so it works well on a balcony, deck or smoking area.
What if the weather makes the roads impassable?
If a storm or closed roads prevent delivery, you can move the booking to a new date or get a credit note. See our rental terms for details.
Can my workplace get an invoice?
Yes. Companies and staff associations that want an invoice to their ID number send us a company request instead of booking online. See our page for companies.
Can I cancel if the party is called off?
With 7 days' notice or more you get a full refund. Between 7 days and 48 hours you get 50% back or a credit note for the full amount. Under 48 hours, there is no refund. More in our rental terms.
