Open house or seated meal?
Graduation parties are often an open house, where guests come and go during the day. That means fewer people on site at once than the guest list suggests, and more room is needed for people standing. If everyone arrives at the same time and sits down to eat, you need more tables and a bigger tent.
- Standing party: the 5×8 m tent holds 45–60 standing and the 4×5 m tent up to 30.
- Seated meal: the 5×8 m tent seats about 30 and the 4×5 m tent about 15. Tables and benches cost ISK 9,990 per set, seating 6–8.
- Open house: you only need seats for the people there at any one time, not the whole guest list.
Spring graduation in the garden
In May and June the days are long but the weather is unpredictable. The tent gives shelter if it rains and patio heaters keep your guests warm as the sun drops. A good guideline is one heater for the 4×5 m tent and two for the 5×8 m tent.
Measure the garden before you book. The 5×8 m tent needs flat ground of at least 6×9 m and the 4×5 m tent at least 5×6 m, both with 3 m of clear height. If the tent cannot be put up because of conditions on site, the rental is not refunded. The tents are also not put up if the average wind goes above 10 m/s or gusts above 15 m/s.
We have only one 5×8 m tent and a limited number of beer taps, and many graduations fall on the same weekends. Book as soon as the date is set.
December graduation indoors
In December the party is usually held indoors, and then the glasses, the seating and the bar matter most. The glasses arrive clean and you return them unwashed, so there is no washing-up waiting after the party. If some guests gather on the deck or the balcony, a patio heater keeps them warm.
The bar
A graduation party often brings together family, the graduate's friends and children. A bartender can mix both classic and alcohol-free cocktails from what you provide and keep the bar tidy. The bartender costs ISK 8,990 per hour, minimum 2 hours, and a good guideline is one per 35 guests. You provide the drinks, ice and access to water.
In our glass rental, wine glasses are ISK 349, cocktail glasses ISK 249 and highball, lowball and beer glasses ISK 190. Plan about two glasses per guest.

This is only a suggestion. Prices are per day, including delivery and collection and washing of the glasses. At an open house the rush is spread over the day, so one bartender can often handle 50 guests. If everyone arrives at the same time, it is good to have two.

Will the bartender serve guests under 20?
Our bartenders may refuse to serve guests under 20 and guests who are intoxicated. They mix alcohol-free drinks for everyone.
Can we hold a joint party with another family?
Yes. The simplest way is for one person to book and pay, and for you to decide together where the equipment should go.
When does the equipment arrive?
We deliver and collect between 08:30 and 17:00, every day. We confirm the exact time when we contact you within 24 hours of booking.
