Party tent 5×8 m for hire
40 m²: about 30 seated or 45–60 standing. Window panels and two doors.
ISK 49,990per day
We have only one tent in this size. Book early.
About the product
A roomy, bright tent for graduations, confirmations (ferming), weddings, milestone birthdays and company events. The window panels let in daylight and the two doors keep guests moving freely.
A galvanised steel frame and a waterproof cover give good shelter from rain and drizzle. We can put the tent up and take it down for you if you add set-up.
Good to know about the 5×8 m tent
The tent is 40 m² and holds about 30 guests seated at tables or 45–60 standing. It fits 4–5 sets of tables and benches with a walkway. A bar, a buffet or a dance floor inside the tent takes space away from the seating.
The space you need
Flat, firm ground of at least 6 × 9 m, and 3 m of clear height free of branches, gutters or cables. Measure before you book. If the tent cannot be put up because of the space or the ground, the rental is not refunded.
Wind
The tent is not put up, or is taken down, if the average wind goes above 10 m/s or gusts above 15 m/s. Keep an eye on the forecast and contact us if it looks uncertain.
Which tent suits your number of guests?
- Up to 15 seated: the 4×5 m tent is enough.
- 16–30 seated or up to 60 standing: this tent.
- 31–45 seated: both tents together, if both are free on the same day.
Set-up and takedown is optional and costs ISK 29,990. A good rule of thumb is two patio heaters for this tent. We have only one 5×8 m tent, so book early.

- The area must be flat and firm, at least 6 × 9 m, with 3 m of clear height free of branches, gutters and wires.

Step-by-step setup
- Lay all poles and corners out on the ground as shown in the drawing above.
- Assemble the rafters: a long pole (2) and a short pole (1) joined with a connector (4). The long pole goes towards the eave and the short one towards the ridge.
- Push the assembled poles into the corners so the whole roof frame lies assembled on the ground. The 110° corners (5 and 6) go on the long sides and the 140° corners (7 and 8) on the ridge in the middle.
- Lift one long side and push the legs (3) into the corners on that side.
- Pull the roof cover over the frame and tie it securely.
- Lift the other long side and insert the remaining legs.
- Hang the side panels and fit the end panels.
- Secure the tent with the fixings supplied, then walk around and check that every joint is firm and the cover is well tied.
During the party
- No open flames, grills or gas heaters inside the tent. Our electric heaters are fine.
- If the wind goes above the limits, take your guests out and take the tent down. Not sure? Call +354 778 8817.
Taking down and returning
- Remove the side panels and end panels and fold them.
- Release the fixings, lift one side and take out the legs on that side, then the other side.
- Untie the roof cover and take it off the frame. Then take the frame apart.
- Shake grass and dirt off the covers and put everything back in the bags. Is the cover wet? Let it dry if you can, otherwise just let us know.
