Good to know about the 4×5 m tent
The tent is 20 m² and holds about 15 guests seated or up to 30 standing. About two sets of tables and benches fit with a walkway. It suits smaller gardens, or works as a separate area for the bar or the buffet next to the larger tent.
The space you need
Flat, firm ground of at least 5 × 6 m, and 3 m of clear height free of branches, gutters or cables. If the tent cannot be put up because of the space or the ground, the rental is not refunded. Not sure? Send us a photo of the area and we will assess it with you.
Wind
The tent is not put up, or is taken down, if the average wind goes above 10 m/s or gusts above 15 m/s. Keep an eye on the forecast in the days before the party.
Too small for your guests?
For 16–30 seated guests, the 5×8 m tent is the right choice. With both tents together there is room for about 45 seated. Set-up and takedown is optional and costs ISK 24,990. One patio heater is a good rule of thumb for this tent.

Step-by-step setup
- Lay all poles and corners out on the ground as shown in the drawing above.
- Assemble the rafters: a long pole (2) and a short pole (1) joined with a connector (4). The long pole goes towards the eave and the short one towards the ridge.
- Push the assembled poles into the corners so the whole roof frame lies assembled on the ground. The 110° corners (5 and 6) go on the long sides and the 140° corners (7 and 8) on the ridge in the middle.
- Lift one long side and push the legs (3) into the corners on that side. The four corner legs with holes go in the corners.
- Pull the roof cover over the frame and tie it securely.
- Lift the other long side and insert the remaining legs.
- Hang the side panels.
- Secure the tent with the fixings supplied, then walk around and check that every joint is firm and the cover is well tied.
During the party
- No open flames, grills or gas heaters inside the tent. Our electric heaters are fine.
- If the wind goes above the limits, take your guests out and take the tent down. Not sure? Call +354 778 8817.
Taking down and returning
- Remove the side panels and fold them.
- Release the fixings, lift one side and take out the legs on that side, then the other side.
- Untie the roof cover and take it off the frame. Then take the frame apart.
- Shake grass and dirt off the covers and put everything back in the bags. Is the cover wet? Let it dry if you can, otherwise just let us know.
