Renting a beer tap is simpler than it sounds. You book, supply the keg and we take care of the rest. Here is the process step by step, from booking until we collect the tap again.
Step by step
- Book the tap. Choose a date on the beer tap rental page. The rental is ISK 14,990 per day and the price appears straight away.
- Get your keg. You supply the keg. Tell us which one you plan to use so we can make sure it fits the tap.
- We arrive and connect it. We bring the tap to you, connect it on site at no extra cost and show you how it works.
- Enjoy the party. The tap chills the beer as it pours and handles 20–35 litres an hour. No CO₂ cylinder is needed.
- We collect it. You don't have to clean or pack anything.
What do I need to have ready?
- A sturdy table on level ground, with the keg beside it.
- Normally a 230 V socket nearby.
- The keg and the drinks. RentEvent does not sell alcohol.
- Glasses. You can rent beer glasses at ISK 190 and return them unwashed, or buy disposable plastic cups if the party is big.
How much beer do I need?
One 30-litre keg gives about 85 glasses of 0.35 l. A good rule is 2–3 drinks per guest in the first hours and then about one an hour. For a party of 30 over a few hours, one or two kegs is usually right. Remember that not everyone drinks beer, and at least a quarter of the drinks should be non-alcoholic. Frequently asked questions
Do I need a CO₂ cylinder?
No. The tap has a built-in air pump that pressurises the keg, so no CO₂ cylinder is needed.
Does a keg come with it?
No, you supply the keg. Tell us which keg you plan to use so we can make sure it fits.
How long does the beer keep?
The beer keeps best if the keg is finished within two days of being connected.
