Glass rental is the simplest way to avoid the washing up after a party. You rent clean glasses, use them and return them unwashed in the crate. We bring them to you and collect them again. Here are the glasses available, what they cost and how many you need.
The glasses and prices
| Glass | Size | Price per glass |
|---|---|---|
| Beer glass | 38 cl, stemmed | ISK 190 |
| Highball | 34 cl | ISK 190 |
| Lowball | 33 cl | ISK 190 |
| Cocktail glass | 27 cl, stemmed coupe | ISK 249 |
| Large cocktail glass | 30 cl, coupe on a tall stem | ISK 299 |
| Wine glass | 49 cl | ISK 349 |
The price is per glass per day. It pays to choose a glass for each drink: lowball for short drinks, highball for long ones, coupe for cocktails and a wine glass for wine.
How many glasses do you need?
The rule of thumb is 2–3 glasses per guest, because people put a glass down and pick up a new one.
| Guests | Glasses |
|---|---|
| 20 | 40–60 |
| 50 | 100–150 |
| 100 | 200–300 |
Example: 50 guests with 125 beer glasses cost ISK 23,750 per day (125 × ISK 190). You'll find more detailed calculations in how many glasses you need for a party.
How returns work
- We bring the glasses to you in crates, clean and ready.
- After the party you put them back in the crates. You don't have to wash them.
- We collect the crates at the agreed time.
Delivery and collection are free in the capital area on orders over ISK 10,000.
Glass or plastic?
Glass looks better and is nicer to drink from. If the party is outdoors, very large or in a garden with children, disposable plastic cups may be a better fit. Read more about the difference in the glasses article.
Glasses and everything else
Glasses go well with a bartender and a beer tap. See price examples for a whole bar, or an overview of what you can rent.
